SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area regularly. The services position established for intervention experiences a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to empower the servicing of all shoppers and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
